The first games back for all the euro leagues were terrible too.

It’s all relative to the standard of play in the league
So of course MLS will look bad
But hopefully these first few games generate a ton of goals

Did you watch the shitshow that was Sheffield and Wolves today?
This isn't different.

Yeah, that’s really what we need. It was always going to be low quality of play due to the layoff, we just need the low quality with lots of goals rather than the low quality with none.

It’s still better soccer
My point is a lesser quality league will of course look worse
Both those teams would roll through MLS
Hopefully we get a lot of goals so it’s entertaining

So some reason with no fans and how this game is being played it feels like college soccer

Great Value Joao Moutinho

It doesn't help that Orlando is arguably the worst team in the league and Miami is a brand new team.
Still think this is better than the League One promotion playoff games.

Are these teams playing for anything?

Group stage counts for regular season points. Winner of the tournament gets $1.1mil and CL spot.

That was my point about choosing these two teams to open the tournament. I expected these games to be sloppy but throw in two bad teams it’s not a good look for your league comeback.
