Against Trinidad and Tobago.

Let's wait before we crown him as the reincarnation of himself.

I mean, everybody played T&T, not just Bradley.

It's not just against T&T when he is basically covering all of the midfield. But no one points that out.

Considering Weston played deeper and Pulisic was more advanced, yeah that will happen. Generally speaking, it has been the back line and inconsistent nature of WHO is playing midfield with him that has hampered him.

I think the truth of his role in qualifying for and maybe playing IN the next WC will be told by his performance alongside Weston and Christian against teams like Mexico. That's all I am saying.

ETA: I did give you an upvote. Glad he balled out, but I want to see it consistently before I hop on his bandwagon again.

They're allowed to do that because Bradley can cover the ground that he does.

That can be looked at two ways. Yours, or that the other two had TT pinned back so Bradley was able to operate in space.

Like I said, my argument isn't against your principle here, more against the claiming of it after one good match.

But I've been claiming it well before that, this is just more reinforcement.

You mentioned a reincarnation, I'm of the thought that he never left.

He gets the brunt of the criticism for the 2017 failure, that's fair, he was the captain and everyone not named Pulisic played like a bitch that night. But this idea that Bradley has been bad for the USMNT overall is just a lazy one that needs to stop.

Broski and Bradley sitting in a tree...

You really do have one hell of a man crush.

Ok I see. I can sort of agree there I guess. I have been one bashing him up until the last few matches under Sarachan, but I've taken a step back and the more I think about it the more I feel that he hasn't had a great or consistent cast around him.

Even under Jurgy it was a mixed bag and random who would play in the middle with him. Or even behind him for that matter. I still think Adams can unseat him, but I really am pulling for Bradley to be his old self consistently moving forward. I haven't seen enough to say he is or has been greatthis whole time, strictly speaking from the MNT perspective.

I actually think once Adams comes into the fold that he should be the new 6 and Bradley transitions into a bench/depth role.

Just like with Jozy, I'm just all about defending against awful takes and those two have been the brunt of over-the-top and sometimes unfair criticism for the last 5 years.

Jurgen fricked with Bradley's prime, trying to turn him into a 10 right before the World Cup.

Troof. He still played the 6 mostly though.

I think he largely played as an 8 under Jurgen and was often asked to push up into the attack.

I can't remember every match, but he definitely wasn't doing that against Mexico in Azteca. Granted he played pretty well in that game.

The game with the long goal?

That was Bruce, not Jurgen.

Jurgen didn't move him back to the 6 until the Copa America

My bad, I do my best to forget Bruce even returned. You're right.

Pretty sure our lack of attacking options was the reason Jurgy entertained that 10/8 strategy with him. Stupid idea though either way. We always would have been better with him at the 6.

I wanted to move Landon inside to the 10 that summer, but we brought Julian green instead. I will never get over that I don’t think.

Our best XI leading up to that tournament was:

Jozy
Donovan-Dempsey-Zusi
Bradley-Jones
DMB-Besler-Cameron-Fab
Howard

Landon should've been there and when Jozy went down, all we would've had to do was move Dempsey up top, shift Donovan to the 10 and either move Fab to the LM with Chandler at RB, or just bring in Bedoya to LM.

But instead... Brad Davis.

frick.

The day Donovan got left off the plane and 10/10/17 are two days that will haunt me forever.

I’d like to see McKennie’s map as well. He’s everywhere. I really like how he has his teammates’ backs when they are concacafed in the ankles. My only issue with Bradley is he isn’t getting any younger or quicker. He will get eaten alive by more skillful midfield.

Seriously, you are obsessed with this guy. I imagine your room has Bradley posters all over it and hearts drawn around his head.
