It's better than not training with them, but he's at the age where it's time to get loaned out and get some minutes on a senior squad. Send him to a Valencia, Getafe, Betis, or Levante if they think he can play in la liga, or send him across town to Espanyol if he isn't ready for that stage.

Yep, although the extension that Barca just signed him to is encouraging that they rate him on some level.

He won't go there as those teams will all compete for European football in La Liga.
He'll go somewhere like Eibar or Alaves, a lower half of the table squad.
