I honestly don't know any other City fans even here in the states other than a few friends that I've converted. I've never met any just randomly.
All my friends who watch the EPL here are United fans.

No chance. What puts you guys in the big numbers is strong local support along with a huge following in London like United and then Ireland and Scandinavia.

i just assumed there were plenty of long suffering city supporters in the city of Manchester... that would have jumped at the chance to go watch the team, now that they are good.. I mean there are plenty of clubs that fill stadiums that are in the lower leagues..
I get that any new city fans (especially outside the city) have come in the last 5 years or so...

There is a huge rift between the City fans who live in Manchester and those that are abroad. Like SCH mentioned they aren't keen to those outside of the city.
They heavily dislike tourists.

historically they have always been a club with 35k to 40k each week
when they moved to their council house the first few years it was very empty. It really made no sense to expand and then expand again to 60k.
If you are in the city center and walk by the City store right in the middle of deansgate no one is in there.

okay, but I guess thats not my point/question/whatever ... but it really doesn't matter, i guess...
again... I just thought Manchester would have been split between red and blue a little more evenly (I get there would be more United supporters).. like the city of Liverpool is with Everton and LFC

I think for Manchester/Greater Manchester its something like 75/25 United to City.
People just associate United with the city.

I agree local city supporters not liking outside supporters is silly... I mean, the minute they were bought by the sheiks, they became a global club...
but thats everywhere, there are a lot of LFC supporters that think outside supporters are part of "ruining the atmosphere" ticket price hikes, etc... oh well...

bc its true but Liverpool know this an adjust the prices to the people who want to spend the big bucks.
Scandinavians have lots of money due to the exchange rates. Liverpool has a huge London fan base and Londoners in general are more well off.
