Not if United want to contend. Look at the CM depth of the top teams in the world and seriously ask yourself if those two would be "good enough."

Carrick in his prime was, thats why we need a young understudy for him. We can still get 20 games a year out of him

And for as much as we overpaid for the big brute, ughh i dont wana get started

Carrick ain't in his prime anymore.

United overpaid for Fellaini in a panic move. He hasn't fit in yet and injuries didn't help.

Cleverley is the most inconsistent player on planet earth.

Fletcher is also old and was out of the game for a while.

Again, is that good enough to go up against the Reals and Bayerns and Barcelonas and even the Man Cities of the world?

I guess Anderson is still on the books, right? That'll help!

i'd say poach Southampton, but man, u know the deal. You bend over to pay for young Brittish players. And they have some quality over there.

And with speculation on what Pochettino will do.

Carrick can be the second or third best CM on a CL contender but not the best, IMO.

If Moyes really decided to pass on making an offer to Thiago, then that's all you need to know about him as a manager.

So that's why I'm saying United need a radical change in the midfield this summer. It won't pay off immediately, but we'll have a year to get them used to playing together in a year without European ball.

Are you building to contend in Europe or just building to just get by as a title contender in the EPL?

And this is the man who is reportedly going to get a record transfer budget this summer.

Right now the EPL b/c its clear he is in over his head in England but even worse in Europe when matched up with elite managers.

A season without Europe might help us like it did Liverpool this year.

The issue is if he fails then we have to keep spending which is not the United way.

We have these big spending summers to reload every 8 or 9 years but we can't turn into big big spenders ever year.

United should be building to contend in Europe in the next few years. It won't happen in one transfer window. But the thinking that just an understudy for Carrick is all United need is just complacent in my eyes.

holding mids and a revamped back line

also our young players have regressed under Moyes.

Jones,Smalling,Clevs and Evans have all got worse.

Dwight Yorke saying Moyes's style is not the United style of pace and power that these teams are built for.

I think it's obvious he needs to go at this point. Throw all of the money at Klopp.

I'd be pretty worried about that.

If Leverkusen misses the Champions League, you may be able to get Lars Bender.

Johannes Geis from Mainz would be a great buy. He's been taught by my super man crush Thomas Tuchel and he'd be pretty inexpensive since he's not a full international yet.

Erik Durm is a very good LB but Dortmund wouldn't sell unless maybe Klopp leaves.

Yup, like I said before with our attacking players Klopp could frick some shite up and at least mask the issues in the back four until he brings his players in.

Maybe Moyes decides to step down realizing this job is to big for him.

i'd rather go get Diego simeone if i was Glazers.

Passion that the manu fans will love, and he has shown, he can flat out coach. He's going to win LaLiga, beating the 2 biggest clubs in the world, with star studded teams. Atletico are where they are, because they go to war for their coach.

Klopp would need to buy some more mobile center mids because I don't know if the current crop of Man Utd mids can press like Klopp wants but yeah, I think he'd win like a mofo in Manchester.
