Here's what's up. Separate thread later for Dirtyrica-USA.
European Friendlies
Europe only played one qualifier in this break, so many teams are playing friendlies today intra-Europe with the exception of France playing Ivory Coast.
Russia - Romania, 10 a.m.
Hungary - Sweden, 12:45 p.m. (LAOLA1.tv)
Ukraine - Serbia, 1 p.m.
Czech Republic - Denmark, 1:30 p.m. (ESPN3)
Austria - Slovakia, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Italy - Germany, 1:45 p.m. (ESPN3)
Northern Ireland - Croatia, 1:45 p.m. (beIN Connect 4)
England - Spain, 2 p.m. (FS1)
France - Ivory Coast, 2 p.m. (ESPN3)
CONMEBOL - Matchday 12
Suffice it to say, Argentina needs to beat Colombia in a bad way after getting skulldragged by Brazil the other night. Peru also looking to spring an upset that could suddenly put them back in contention. Chile-Uruguay also a very nice matchup today.
Bolivia - Paraguay, 2 p.m. (beIN)
Ecuador - Venezuela, 3 p.m. (beIN Connect 3)
Argentina - Colombia, 5:30 p.m. (beIN español; beIN Connect 3)
Chile - Uruguay, 5:30 p.m. (beIN)
Peru - Brazil, 8:15 p.m. (beIN español; beIN Connect 5)
CONCACAF - Matchday 2
frick the Hex. Get three points against Nasty Rica.
Honduras - Trinidad & Tobago, 4 p.m. (beIN Connect 4)
Costa Rica - USA, 8 p.m. (beIN)
Panama - Mexico, 8 p.m. (beIN Connect 4; Telemundo)
AFC - Matchday 5 recap
Was late this morning, so I'll just recap with results and where they stand at the halfway point of qualifying.
Group A
South Korea came from a goal down to beat Uzbekistan and go 2nd in the group a point behind Iran. Uzbeks a point further back in third. Syria-Iran was played on a pitch so wet that even long passes were often stopping dead on the pitch. Stunned no one got killed.
South Korea 2-1 Uzbekistan
China 0-0 Qatar
Syria 0-0 Iran
Group B
Big win for Japan though conceded needlessly late to remain in second behind Saudi Arabia. Australia surprisingly had to come from behind to draw in Thailand and with the last game in progress they are level on points (for now) with UAE for third place.
Japan 2-1 Saudi Arabia
Thailand 2-2 Australia
UAE 1-0 Iraq (30')

English FA cup question?
Away goals only count after extra time, correct? Or is that the League cup?

So, I mean, there's a pretty good chance Argentina is in 7th place and maybe up to 4 points out of the playoff spot with 6 games to go. Not emergency levels, but that's got to be pretty concerning. Pretty much a must win for them tonight.

No away goals in FA Cup. Replays mainly. League Cup semis is randomly two legs and I do believe they use away goals there.
Replays go away in quarterfinals and it's extra time and penalties.
