absolutely. their success despite the revolving door at CM beside him is truly incredible. definitely unsung, though as kinda touched on before, I think not playing for England is a big cause of that.

we're losing to sevilla nil - 2 in the first half of Rio's testimonial. fielding a preseason type squad. no extra guests that i have noticed.

actually he's back to his old # in 25...he was only 7 last year....and since he shamed it the number has been taken from him... (but not really)

I did hear the rumor yesterday that 7 is being held for a double secret special signing...Modric??

Kondogbia rumors picking up steam, but hey, they're rumors. Also, per the Guardian, Rooney will not be sold to Chelsea no matter the price or the players wishes.

I really think if Rooney sticks around, and plays in a new role, we can win be very succesful and he will see that he's part of the best club in the world and could become a real legend if he hangs around.

I'd like him to stay but if he goes I won't be upset. He's pulled this before and I think the fans are kinda fed up with it.

Alright, gentlemen, let's discuss the big win.

I had predicted a tight draw, but I was very impressed with the defense and De Gea today. Little bit of complacency late with Bony's goal, but Welbeck made sure we were smiling at the end.

Still need that big-time midfielder. It was painfully obvious during stretches of today's match.

And congratulations to Danny for doubling last season's output in one day.

Per ESPN, Jose has given Rooney 48 hours to come out and demand a transfer to the club or he will turn his interests in elsewhere.

quote:

"This club must be a very special club because at every club in the world, when the player wants to leave they [the fans] don't support him," Mourinho said.

"When a player wants to leave, they give him a hard time -- but [here] they support him all the way, so I think this is a real special club with special fans so he decides that he wants to stay. If that is his decision, then we will be the first to respect that.

Pretty classy comments from Mou.

He's always had a bit of admiration for United, and especially SAF. I was convinced, for the longest time, he'd take over when Fergie retired.
