twitsnipes:
Boateng coming in for Tevez. We're about to see the 9-0-0 for the first time ever. Most expensive nine-man defensive wall in soccer history
£150million and you play for a draw...

You would be sweating bullets. City defenders although incredibly shaky individually, collectively have done just enough to impede a clean shot by Arsenal, or have deflected shots.

well that fricking sucks

Wow that result sucked. Wenger with some shite subs. Gotta hope that Spurs drop all 3 like Chelsea.

I think we have been watching a different game for the last 40 minutes. While city were very shaky early on, they have shut the arsenal final third down. I would certainly say they have done more than "just enough".
For those who don't like the negative tactics, what would you want them to do with the bench they put out today. Away at arsenal? I understand that you are frustrated not having a goal and still being behind on total points, but breaking up the back with both sides playing a man down would be suicide for city.

City under Mancini is truly a disgusting team. This is the second time they've come to Emirates and played for the draw. We were the better team, and considering the age of most of our players, we'll be the better team for a while. Man City could spend another £300 million, and they still wouldn't be better than us. They represent pretty much every problem with the modern game; overly defensive, full of prima donnas, and no attacking nous at all.
We might finish below Man City in the table, but we know who the better side is.
Whatever people say about Man Utd.,Chelsea, and Tottenham, they actually play football.

thank you Puff
exactly
we're not seeing "typical city" anymore. Mancini is smart. United will slip up, we just need to be close enough to catch them when they do

That's Mancini...play for a draw away and hope you win at home. If you offered him a draw with no chance to win or lose and a chance to win with a chance to lose...he would take the draw everytime.
He hates losing more than he enjoys winning; which is fine if you didnt spend a fortune on players.
But he did.

Bolton would have scored a winner by now if Stubear was in the game.

Typical Man City reply.
ETA: I don't think you know what a typical Gooner philosophy consists of. I don't complain when Man Utd. or Chelsea whip us. They actually represent defensive discipline and attacking nous. It was a disgusting display in pretty much every way. You got the point, fine, but you won't win the PL this way. Even the best defensive team in the PL ever, Chelsea 2004, had one of the best attacking trios in the league.
