Bayern already plays a possession based game, which is incredibly frustrating sometimes like today when we can't finish and get beat on the counter.
I don't think we could pull off a false 9 type formation. Our best bet would be Toni Kroos playing in that spot but I think he's too lazy.
I do think Bayern has a stable of midfielders that is hard to match: Schweiny, Javi Martinez, Luiz Gustavo, Toni Kroos, and even Tymo is good every once in a while. Plus Thomas Muller, Arjen Robben, Ribs, Shaqiri.
They already hold the ball for more than 60% of most games. His biggest challenge would be to install a high pressure style because Bayern is very relaxed for most of the game, even on defense it seems.

you dont think Muller can play the false 9?

Yeah I think he could play it. Do I think he can make the impact that may be needed for it to be as successful as Pep would like? I don't know. I think Muller is a great player, but I really like him to be out wide more than I like him in the center.

The Ibra deal wasn't initially a colossal waste of money. Ibra scored a ton of goals in league play up until February, when he got in the spat with Guardiola. Bojan started and scored, while Ibra sat on the bench.

yeah, I like his game a lot... glad to see he's bounced back this year

Yea, that's arguably the most important phase of his system. High, quick pressing. Shrink the field when the ball is lost, remove the space, and then open back up in possession.
I think it's pretty obvious Bayern have plenty of talent. Would love to see Pep go there.

Who would have guessed that Ibra would turn out to be a dick?
