And JK needs to be fired quickly.
There is nothing U.S. Soccer could do to set itself back more at this point.
The real mistake would be not committing at this point.
Actually, the real mistake was deciding to waste the WC 2010 through Gold Cup 2011 period with Bobbo. We either should have stuck with him for four or picked up Klinsmann right after WC. Gulati shat the bed on that one.
But at this point, we've got to commit to Jurgy's system. Let him get a couple cycles in so we can see how his bottom-up system spits out players. Then, if it's a no go, can him.
I don't blame him much for the loss to Honduras. The stables are pretty bare. Without the Germericans, we'd be ffffucckkeeed, even if CONCACAF isnt' sttttaacccckkkeeed.

Costa Rica is far from an auto three points, considering our recent results against them. We could only draw against them at home last qualifying cycle, and recently lost to them at home in a friendly.
Although I agree that Costa Rica is far from a guaranteed three points, I do think it is important to point out that we had already qualified prior to playing them at home during the last cycle.

What happens if we don't qualify?
Is it still "worth it?"

Jozy hasn't done shite to start under Klinsmann. Sorry not sorry.
Talking about my boy and then using our RLDP saying. I'm reporting this to Cade...

Cycles of what?
International soccer management is about finding a way to get acceptable results with the players at your disposal. If Klinsmann's priority is 2022, there are plenty of other positions for him to hold. He can come back then if he can't find results soon.
These things aren't mutually exclusive. You can get results with what you have while overhauling your youth development system. It's not like Klinsmann is throwing 11 young players onto the field to prepare for 2018.

Jurgen has lived in the US for over a decade, so he has seen just how quick managers can be fired in sports for not meeting high(sometimes unrealistic)expectations. I think he feels the heat, and knows that things need to get back on track with the quickness.

International managers, generally, don't have a very long leash. Nature of the game, and all that
