Arsenal thread keeping up with us so far....wonder if they will still keep up once the season gets here and they realize they still haven't spent any money in the transfer window?
Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that Aspas looks a bit like Suarez - after watching a few videos of him during the pre-season, it definitely appears to me that BR is looking to use him in the Suarez role (at least for now, with Suarez out). His movement is very similar. Very clearly he is not as dynamic (we won't be counting his nutmegs per game), but I think, given enough PT, he can be a double digit goal scorer and help replace (as a group) Suarez if he does leave. I am loving how much premium BR seems to put on movement with his purchases.
And does anyone else think we're bringing in Costa so that he and Suarez can take turns being the guy suspended? That way, we'll always have one crazy South American that is able to play?

Well we did advance it at least a 100 posts last night since it turned into an IM thread

Wonder if he will be available for our last friendlies.

To answer that question he could see time this weekend

That would be amazing, but I hope they don't push it. Let him get to 100% first, even if it means missing a couple weeks to start the season.

Good to see Sturridge is recovering well, but I agree about not rushing him back just for the sake of getting some time in before the season starts.
I know it's just Twitter, but I was reading some tweets yesterday from multiple people in the British media, stating that we're pretty optimistic about landing Costa. Obviously, we'll probably start hearing more on that, if true, in the coming days since Atletico just returned from their South American tour

He's on tiny wages in Spain which is probably our best opportunity to grab him. Rumor is we will give him 3x what he is currently making.

I don't remember exactly when he hurt it, I think it was about 2 months ago. And it was just described as a moderate sprain. Seems like it's been plenty of time for him to just get a little taste of some live action.

Yeah. But I think, if I remember right, he had a bad ankle or was it his knee? He's had issues previously. So I'd hope they took their time fixing it up.

It's the away locker room
The home locker room looks identical. It is shitty, but its tradition. The club takes a lot of pride in the fact that the same benches and tiny little room being used by the current players is the same as the one Billy Liddell, Shanks, Paisley and Steve Heighway sat in. That's much cooler than some stupid 2000 square foot room with fancy carpet and hand carved mahogany lockers.

Thought it was his hamstring

You are probably right. My mind is in ten different places today. I hope they look everything up before they let him back in. That said, if he is fit enough give Studge some time during the next couple of games would be great.

Not saying its happening, but I would t look too much into that. Coutinho and Borini were saying the same thing before their transfers.

Yeah it seems like its just your basic player talk saying he's still committed and not clamoring to gtfo. Doesn't mean he wouldn't also be happy in England.

I speak spanish, so allow for me to translate -
"I want more per week from Liverpool or else I may not agree to a contract".
