I don't know who will start, but I have a question for you all
Assuming CR is reasonably fit, are we more likely to
A. Prevent him from scoring for 90+ minutes
B. Put 2 or 3 past a makeshift Portugal defense
I would almost rather Klinsmann put out a fairly aggressive gameplan on the assumption that no matter what we do, CR + Nani will find a way to score 1 or 2 goals.
Mexico was shell-shocked by a diamond that included Beckerman, Bradley, Davis, Zusi with Wondo and Dempsey up front. I wouldn't be surprised to see Klinsmann try something like that again except with Jones and Bedoya in place of Davis and Zusi.

IMO we have to do both A and B to win.

But we don't have to win.
I just know that since the win against Ghana I've been thinking a conservative 4-5-1 is the way to go, but if CR is fit, I think we'll have to score a couple to be sure of a draw.
And he didn't bring Wondo to sit him on the bench for 3 games.

No we don't need a win but I think our best defense is our offense. We aren't good enough to just park the bus and try to keep a player like Ronaldo off the board. I think we need to go at them if we have any chance of points. 1 or 3.
