And Sunderland lost their main striker so he’s their guy for the rest of the season. Not sure we can recall unless it’s for the last couple games after the championship season ends (and they could be in the playoffs)

Thank goodness we signed Rutter

We’re about to get pandemic level Bamford. Max goals incoming. Leeds finish 11th. Sign the highest rated CB in the world this summer. It’s all going to work out. Nothing will go wrong.

I know we always say VAR hates Leeds but ESPN put out an article today detailing who would be impacted most without VAR.

If you said Leeds would be the most positively impacted club, you would be right.

quote:

The biggest winners without VAR are actually Leeds United, who get five points and climb three places into 12th -- six points above the relegation zone and level with Liverpool. Leeds have conceded four goals through VAR, more than any other team. As well as the gained draw against Arsenal, they are given a win at home to West Ham and draws from defeats at Aston Villa and Brentford. Jesse Marsch's side haven't had a VAR decision which has led to an improved final scoreline.

That 5 point difference doesn’t even appear to account for the wild inconsistencies that have also killed us.

It calls out the Brentford game because I guess one of their initial goals was a penalty awarded by VAR, but wasn’t Jesse eventually sent off because someone was taken down in the box and they wouldn’t even look at it?

It awards us a point for the Bamford goal against Arsenal because VAR disallowed it, but doesn’t account for VAR not ruling out Kane’s goal following his mugging of the defender that was twice as bad as what Patty did against Arsenal.

Yeah it wasn’t as bad as I initially thought this morning, I think it just seems worse because some of the results weren’t expected. Only dropping two spots while not playing isn’t terrible considering how tight everything is, but we do need at least a point and preferably a win tomorrow.

Anyone going to New York in March for the annual Leeds United Americas meet-up? New York Whites are helping book hotels if you fancy a weekend of debauchery with like-minded people. The last one in Atlanta was a good time. Need three points tomorrow. ALAW
