Phil’s favorite club too

I just need Leeds to be normal for once. Part of why last night hurts so much is because of how spectacularly we were managing the game in contrast to how we’re usually hanging on in those moments.

Darlow surely can’t be that far off to not get the nod?
The big knocks on Darlow are his distribution and last year in the league cup shootout against Salford he basically let one roll under his armpit. On the other hand, Meslier’s distribution is shite, he let Sargent’s penalty roll under his armpit Tuesday, and he just pissed away two points at Sunderland yesterday.

ETA: I know it seems like I’m piling on him now but 225 likely has texts from me dating back to last Fall saying the defense makes him look better than he is and that he has to go once promoted.

The gif of the robot falling in slow motion was Darlow in that Salford shootout and Meslier at Norwich.

Alex Cairns get ready for action pal.

Will say I still think over the entire season having seen us versus top teams we are winning the league

Team is gonna gel together over the next few weeks before we go on a big tear again

I just read rob conlon’s match report now im melting again

The part about Firpo posting his goal highlights to keep from throttling Meslier made me chuckle.

I know you have a connection, but what is it again? Isn't one of your parents Scottish or something?

Pretty good news baws. Get that sorted in January and sign a midfielder.

Spoiler alert feelings of Leeds could do better is spot on

Leeds United The EFL Championship 24/25

As mentioned on Sunday evenings Spaces, the personal abuse of Meslier needs to stop.

The grounded criticism needs to be kept in the light.

Happy clappers are doing Meslier and the club zero favours, just like the abusers - both category of fan are deluded knobs.

Of the 30 goalkeepers that played 15 or more games in the Championship last season , Meslier came 19th on save percentage, his clean sheets and goals against were down to playing behind a strong back 4.

He was 22nd of 30 in successfully dealing with crosses.

His completion rate on launched passes was 25th of 30.

Rushing out he was 26th most likely of 30 to attempt to deal with a given situation. (this one could be down to dogmatic coaching instruction but as a general rule of thumb would indicate poor judgment and lack of confidence)

His throwing was o.k. 9th of 30.

He’s got the talent to be a great keeper. It was evident those first couple seasons. One problem is he’s never had anyone to realistically push him.

He's not going to be pulled, at least now, because it shows there is no confidence in him in the big games. Just needs to show out against Sheffield United.

Yeah he isn’t going to drop him because we have all seen Darlow between the sticks

But man I’m just gonna shake my head next Friday when he spoons one into touch again

Cheikhou Kouyaté one of a small number of free agents Leeds United have been considering as Daniel Farke seeks solutions for his defensive midfield injury crisis.

Would be a great championship signing

Something tells me we’ll do the “we tried” routine and roll the dice until January.

It appears the athletic has posted a vacancy for its Leeds coverage

Reckon Nancy couldn’t make it past the second international break, replacing Phil was always going to be damn impossible

Time for Joe Donnohue to send in his CV

Joe would be perfect. Good writer, knows ball, isn’t a total cornball like Graham. (I do like graham fwiw)
