Checking in, it’s almost 3:30 and I’m still in disbelief at those two goals conceded today

Imagine being 5 points clear at this point if it wasn’t for that sorry French bastard

Or if we are being nice 2 points clear if we only erase half his mistakes

I’m firmly in the camp now if we go up Farke must go, his style of play and inability to change will kill us

My annual visit to Leeds is shaping up to be eventful. The mood could be rather tense. I was there last year when everything went tits up and it was not a pretty sight. Saw two fights while waiting in the queu for the bus at Elland Road after the Blackburn match. Lots of aggro. Could be similar this time around.

Im kind of pissed that im not mad enough if that makes sense. (Felt this way after a lot of Les Miles defeats.)

Yeah. I get it. I've been a Leeds supporter for a long time as well and I definitely understand the feeling of resignation. The playoff format has never been kind to us so I fully expect that if we are condemned to that fate we will be spending the foreseeable future in the Championship. Looking forward to my visit to ER and seeing mates but dreading the atmosphere if we continue to bottle this opportunity.

Looking ahead, if we get back on track next weekend (Luton away early kickoff…yea right) and then maybe get a point at boro it sets up nicely the rest of the way. At least until the Bristol home match which is the penultimate game. If we need to win that day i can only imagine how tense Elland Road would be. How great would it be to seal promotion at home? Our fans deserve it.

I agree. No room for error now. The Luton and smoggies matches will determine our fate.

Unfortunately the twitter algorithm has figured out I like Leeds, so it has been serving up tweets all weekend about Meslier

Worst one I saw was a Burnley and Sheffield fan accounts being elated that Leeds didn’t drop him allowing them to remain in touching distance

Both sets of fans find it hilarious we keep persisting with him between the sticks, stating how with just an average keeper we would be up easily

Edit: side note, if Farke drops him this weekend I’m going to be even more upset at him as a manager. He should have dropped him much earlier (after hull) in the year but elected not to do so

That way if Darlow didn’t work out they still could have brought someone in during the window

Absolutely criminal that he remains our keeper. DiNardo had Tepper; Mora had Carl Smith; and Farke has Meslier. Refusal to change will be his undoing.

Darlow has been pretty meh but you can tell everyone has lost faith in tIceman. And he absolutely should have been dropped after hull. Unfortunately Darlow wasn’t very convincing against millwall in the cup. (And remember he was their top go target even when Meslier was expected to go after relegation.)

The club adores him because he was part of the last team that got promoted and he was actually a decent keeper then. He got caught up in his own reputation as a shithouse and it crept into his actual game.

We never had trouble moving on from previous shitty keepers. Silvestri (who is now actually good), Wiedwald, Casilla, Peacock-Farrell. Meslier just keeps getting worse and worse.

Farke and Meslier deserve gitmo if we don’t go up.

If they don’t go up it will be a collective failure but I don’t know how much of this can be blamed on recruitment. Farke doesn’t even use the squad he has. The Meslier stuff has covered up the decision to rush Ampadu back over the weekend when he clearly wasn’t ready.

Don’t forget this all time sliding doors moment. Look where Newcastle are now.

I just hope the next move isn’t to chuck him back into defense at the expense of the pirate.

The fact is that Meslier was never a complete keeper. The one thing you could say about him under Bielsa was that his distribution was good. Then Bielsa's goalkeeping coach fricked off to Italy and that aspect of his game started to suffer as well during our time in the Premier League. His positioning has always been poor and his hands have gotten worse. Would love to see Meslier benched but who would replace him? Darlow is dross.
