Lack of parity in club leauges

It seems in most of these international club leauges there are only 2 or 3 sides that have any hope at all of winning the championship. the worst is obviously Scotland, I mean why even bother unless you're a Celtic or Rangers fan? It's a little ridiculous.

Leagues don't have salary caps and schedules are even amongst the clubs (i.e. you play every team twice). Certain clubs have large budgets and are international brands that have large budgets for star players.

I understand the why, I just think it kind of hurts the excitement of a season when we all know that nobody but Manchester or Chelsea really have a chance to win the title.

False, smaller budget teams win all the time in baseball.

Manchester and Chealsea have won every title since 2004 and 19 of the last 24 domestic trophies.

I think the relegation/promotion, Champions League race and other competitions (FA Cup, League Cup, Europa League) make it exciting to be a fan of other clubs. Teams with little money need to spend money to survive in the league. It's better than the Pirates, Royals, Orioles etc. being mired in pitiful seasons year after year because the owners don't have the money to spend and/or don't want to spend the money on a successful team.

The difference though is that it's been proven that small market teams can get to and win the world series. Sure the Yankees and Red Sox dominate, but they don't literally win the world series every fricking year.

Even in a salary cap NBA, the Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, Spurs and Pistons have won the lion's share of the championships in recent years.

Yeah but that can and does change at anytime. You also just named 5 teams not 2.

chelsea has won 3 epl titles and arsenal has won 3 as well. blackburn has one also

that's a function of a small sample size... if they played the last four rounds of the FA cup after the season ended there'd be more upsets there too

The other teams still have fans that show up to games. They don't seem to have enough of a problem with it to stop attending matches. I'm for a little more parity as well but I don't see the leagues doing anything substantial about it any time soon.

So over the last 18 years, the championship has been divided between 3 out of 20+ teams (save one fluke season) and you're using that as an argument that there IS parity?

In the last 10 years, 8 different teams have won the world series.

No I'm just stating putting Man UTD in the same sentaence as chelsea when speakig of titles is foolish
haha no there isnt much parity but then again thats what little regulation will do

If you want parity, watch MLS.

Red Sox won 2, Yankees won 2(Been in 4), Philly won 1 (2 appearances), CWS has won 1 Angels won 1. Marlins and Dbacks have won 1. St Louis has won 1.
Yankees have 40 World Cup appearances. Runner-up LA Dodgers with 18 apps.
I'll give you Marlins, DBacks, and MAYBE St Louis. However, Red Sox, Yankees, CWS, Angels, Phillies all spend a shite ton of money.
ETA: But I'd agree with your SPL statement. Rangers/Celtics everyone else.
