Lot can happen in a year but I do agree with you. Stu played phenomenal tonight, distribution to the flanks was great and linked up with front players well. He's earned a long look between now and next June. A good gold cup could see him get a transfer, never know

I don't think he'd start (in most WC games) either, judging by how JK runs his ship, but he's a hell of an option to be able to bring in off the bench if we'd need him. There's still a long time until the WC, too.

This was my suggestion back in March before we figured out the damn back line. I still like it with the new found defense, instead.

I feel sorry for JK and staff.
They have to whittle this down to 23 players next June. No matter what happens, somebody will get screwed simply because there is not enough spots, unlike in past cycles where we are scraping the bottom of the barrel just to field a WC squad.

Observations
1 Beckerman doesn't belong on the field for the U.S. women, much less the men, sorry RSL fans.
2. I thought the D.B. to left back move was a joke when it first happened but , I love the fact he can come forward and interchange so well on the left , as well as recover fast.However when we play against teams with powerful , strong, physical wingers , we are probably going to have to start someone else.
3 Holden is our best central mid.us when healthy.
4. Klinsman has brought these players a long way and this team is just now starting to understand what he wants from them.If the 2 centerback positions can improve in the next year I see a very good chance we go deep in Brazil.Quaters at least.
