Even guys like De Bruyne are playmaking from deeper positions.

Because David Silva plays in front of him as a 10

I think Tyler Adams is our captain of the future.

i'm not as sold on mckennie as others on the board are. I'm not saying he won't be an impressive player with the national team, but i don't see him being more than a solid player at the european level. People also talk about him being quick/fast, I don't see that at all. Now Tyler Adams, i'm all in on him. He is quick as shite, is all over the place and seems to have crazy endurance. I want him to get to europe yesterday. I think he can be an impact player at the european level. I know these two aren't exactly a like-for-like comparison, but i believe schalke is trying to mold mckennie into more of a defensive mid. bottom line i love the potential depth in the midfield over the next cycle +, and the level of competitiveness that hopefully sparks.

Now i do think McKennie brings a certain frick you attitude/toughness that i love to see, and the national team desperately needs. He also appears to be a natural leader.

Adams is certainly athletic as hell. He really needs to improve his 360 awareness to excel as a CM at a high level. This is where McKennie is better than him
