Gregg Berhalter would be a great choice as USMNT manager. Direct, commanding, experienced, yet good with young players. He has overhauled and been heavily focused on academy development in Columbus. He has done very well with young players like Wil Trapp, Ethan Finlay, and Tony Tchani. He is very good at identifying player abilities and placing them in positions to be successful, exploiting their strengths and minimizing their weaknesses. He has managed in the US and in Europe. He has played in the US and in Europe. He is a former USMNT and World Cup veteran.
