Has Klinsmann been making any changes?

One of the conditions for Klinsmann to take the job was to give him more control over youth development than previous coaches had had. Also, many of us were hopeful that he would make changes that could greatly benefit US soccer long term.

I'll admit I haven't been paying very close attention. Has he been implementing any changes?

Yes. He picks the top fifteen athletes from each "U" program (U-23, U-20, U-17, U-15, etc...), finds a club for them to sign with in Germany and has them trained to be defensive midfielders.

And yet somehow we still give up 2 goals against Jamaica.

As a youth coach, his hands are all over the system of developing coaches in the US. I could laundry list all the changes but basically the method of educating and certifying coaches has changed drastically......

You mean the youth coaching curriculum that US Youth Technical Director Claudio Reyna unveiled before Klinsmann was hired?

That stuff?

Thats part of it and yes that was not Klinsmann, but more of how you get certified as a coach and the way the classes are run and what it takes to pass has changed. Also some classes are pass/fail now that never were before ect.
