I noticed that they had Giroud, Benzema, and Remy on at the same time. I have no idea why they would do that given their goal differential advantage on Switzerland.

They might have wanted to keep momentum going, maybe figured Ecuador down a man and pressing to get a goal and hopefully advance they should be easy pickings for goals.

I know they weren't playing for a tie but they didn't have a sense of urgency about the way they played.
