I pulled the crap out of my groin last night playing and had to come out for the rest of the game. Anyone have any recurring groin problems? How do you prevent other than just stretching? How do you rehabilitate it? It seems it always bothers me a little bit and am usually able to play through it but not last night.

i played sports for a long time and never had a groin problem till thanksgiving turkey bowl 2006. pulled it pretty bad and to this day its still pretty tender. best you can do is rest for a while and then gradually start stretching it out.

Warm up slowly, working up to faster pace, stretch before and after warmup and always after workout/game

All of this. I pulled my hip flexors twice in high school. It's a bitch. Warming up slowly is important. First you need to just stay off of it until it feels good enough for light physical activity. Stretching is super important. If you can stretch it regularly throughout the day, great. You absolutely have to stretch it before and after games/practice/whatever. I'm talking 5 times what you would normally stretch it before. I would use an ice pack after to reduce swelling and aleve as well if you don't get stomach ulcers.
