Which is better? Shared stadiums in Atlanta and Seattle or SSS in cities with marginal followings?
Come on, man. The league cannot be perfect, but playing on turf is like issue 239478238947, not a top ten issue like you make it out to be.

I'd hesitate to make that a hard-and-fast rule for a few of these clubs that actually sell a lot of tickets like Seattle and Atlanta. And, yes, there's no guarantee those clubs will continue to sell out as much as they have.
You don't want to cap your attendance possibilities and revenue by forcing every club to play in a smaller stadium built for soccer.
Sure, get the teams in bigger, terrible stadiums into smaller, better ones (New England, D.C., etc.), but that's not feasible for everyone.
At least the Benz was built with a soccer setup in mind. (CenturyLink, not so much.)

Atlanta is the best current blueprint for improving MLS.
If there was grass in MBS, then it would be so torn up. They host games, events, tours, etc. so frequently. It is supposed to be the most used sporting venue in the US (and possibly the world - cannot verify that part) going forward.

The Spurs idea of separate pitches is fricking terrible. That is going to be so costly and not be as good as the renderings.
The Atlanta stadium is expensive enough with the retractable roof and halo board. They will lay out sod for international matches.
