Frenchman Jerome Champagne, 55, a former diplomat and a long-serving senior FIFA insider until 2010, is the only person yet to make a formal declaration of candidacy for the presidential race next May.

if Blatter's bid was stymied by health or other reasons then Champagne, a former aide, will have Blatter's influential backing, and a good chance of success.

It should just just 18 - England 22 - USA

The safest and most logical locations who already have great infrastructure and stadiums so no building BS

Also means you can go get pissed at 2 on the voice and not get stabbed

Yup, lets just throw out the financial and political bs still going on in Russia and it would still be a bad selection. The Olympics was a preview.

The Russian WC is going to need basically all new stadiums built, due to the FIFA seating capacity standard. Problem is not even the biggest clubs in Russia will be able to come close to filling these stadiums once the WC has left.

Russia can just turn off their oil supply. The Euros won't do anything to them.

Yeah he would have my vote as well with that statement. Maybe he gets the backing of the leagues.
