I guess anyone can win. Some of the big clubs likely have a hard time taking it serious. Bayern should win big Saturday but who knows.

Really it is only UEFA teams that don't care about it as much. It is very big in Asia, Africa, and South America. Don't know how big it is in Mexico but I'm sure Monterrey wanted to win. Hopefully SKC (or another MLS team I guess) can win the CCL this year so we can see an MLS team there.

For this CCL season I would say SKC or LA would be our best hope.

I've seen that the continental teams actually take it fairly seriously. Don't know how true that is, though.

Wonder why US Soccer doesn't put a bid for this event? Sure it's not a big deal to most but bringing a great team from South America and Europe over to play wouldn't hurt the game in America. Morocco will host again next year and then in 2015 it will be in India or China. Since it's in December I figure we would have to play it in Florida or SoCal.

Not to mention whoever won the league championship of the host country is automatically in it...so that could just help American soccer overall

No doubt. If 2 MLS teams get in by having one win the CCL it could be huge. I figured both teams would be placed on different sides of the bracket so chances are one could make the final.
