re: FIFA 18 Thread: UEFA license might be coming to 19

Playing through the tournament to teach myself how to handle full manual on Legendary.
Some thoughts:
- That Russia team is bad. CPU had to pull off a lucky route one goal on me to save a 1-1 draw with Saudi Arabia.
- Uruguay is a decent team to play with because Cavani and Suarez are in front of a so-so midfield. Scored a hat trick with Cavani in a wild 4-3 match. Salah is superpowered.
- That first Group B match between Iran and Morocco is gonna be a slog.
- Portugal is funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
- I couldn't stop laughing at the crowd shots that showed painted-up black fans for Russia.

Russia came really close to having a black player. Brian Idowu but he switched to Nigeria.

While the 14 WC game was a mess in terms of gameplay, I liked how you could play through a cycle and qualify with any team — not just the ones on regular FIFA.

Belgium was unstoppable going forward
Germany is great but slow
Salah is a demigod
France is France, I don't like their starting formation
Brazil is phenomenal
Portugal is fun going forward
Spain...I have mixed thoughts

Yeah I think the idea is to just make a bunch of money off of WC FUT and make everyone drain their regular UT. Then for the rest of the summer till 19 releases they’ll make more than usual off FIFA points on the back end because everyone will have sold their players for coins for WC packs.

Can’t remember being this legitimately interested in gameplay advances in an upcoming FIFA title, maybe the overhauled physics engine in 13?
Not only the further depth in the custom tactics but the ability to immediately switch to another preset formation on the in game tactics menu on the d-pad has been needed for a while. People on twitter are complaining that it’ll encourage packing it in on defense even more but really that already happens in online and will just save us some time with constant pausing. This will also will help keep from the instant pause in FUT to rearrange players/formations after getting the desired chemistry rating out of a squad.
I don’t give a solitary frick about EA obtaining the CL license but I guess that’s cool. Hoping it leads to them further tuning up career mode after last year’s updates.

If you don’t narrate the career mode inside your head and make up storylines to yourself you’re doing it wrong. The licenses will help immensely with immersion and players storylines.
Or maybe i’m Just weird as frick.
