yes, EA has always been terrible with sims. College football was the worst, when you auto sim'd

Sims are decent, you get the odd result but you're not going to see like Barca get relegated or anything crazy

Klostermann is a beast if you train up his tackling.

Just got the game last week. Just doing a manager career mode right now. A few things:

*Youri Tielmans is a slower Pogba in a few years, just good at everything. 85 ovr at 22
* Corentin Tollisso is a poor man's Vidal. Yellow across the board with a few greens. 80 ovr at 25 but a jack of all trades.
*Dybala plays like a monster but his rating hasn't progressed much in the last few years. 83 ovr at 25. Dribbling and finishing is world class and great pace.
*Angel Correa at 25 years old is so far my favorite player. 85 ovr with decent pace (84) 98 ball control, 97 dribbling, 97 shot power, 94 long shots. Dude is a glitch. He can take a pass at 25 yards out, turn, and drill it into the top corner. Even Pogba bounces them in from that distance without a running start. Correa drills it from a standstill.
*Embolo is progressing nicely at striker but I don't play well with him. 84 ovr at 22 but he gets all his goals when I sim.

I basically have 3 full squads. An A team, a U23, and a U20. The youngsters get all the easy games so everyone gets first team minutes and I don't have to deal with the morale BS.

I binged over the weekend is how I'm so far along, and I had a few "financial takeover" cards that carried over from FIFA 15, giving me a 172m transfer budget for like 3 years. We stacked, my favorite part is developing the young guys..both those in the game and the guys you scout at 15 and 16 years old. Have an 18 year old CF that's already 79 ovr

I'll never forget in I think it was Fifa 11 I had a manager mode with Everton going and for some ungodly reason in like 2022 (somewhere near the end of the 15-years) Arsenal were just pure shite and got relegated.

They won like 4 matches all season long. Never seen anything like that happen again.

Update on my MM: My bad run of form continued for several months and eventually United took a brief three-point lead over me. I won and they lost the second to last game of the season and in just pure awesomeness the schedule generator had us playing on the final day of the season where I won 2-1 to win the league.

Made me think what kind of a madhouse Manchester would be if the two sides actually played on the last day with the title on the line.

I had a 17-year-old spanish RM who came out of the academy at a 74-overall and I immedietly put him in my first team, but for the three seasons he's been up he's had a major injury in each one of them. Like missing 2-3 months.

I feel bad for the guy. Likely going to have to sell him, because his physical attributes have gone to pure shite.

I've got a 16 year old Portuguese RW on my U20 side right now that's 73 ovr. He has 94 potential, he just became eligible for a spot on the squad though so I've only played a few games with him. Sprint speed is 81 already, so he'll be an animal by 25 granted he stays healthy

All the guys (like three in this MM) I've found with 90-94 potential are all lower overalls whenever they get out of the academy and it pisses me off.

The only one I've made a real advancement with is a GK from the US. He's 20 and is an 80-overall already.

Nice. Most of mine with that sort of potential are lower overall also. I got lucky with the CF and the RW. They're both 90-94 potential and came out at 72 and 73. I switched it up and did 6 month scouting stints, I was only doing 3 months on FIFA 15. Belgium, Portugal, and Nigeria have produced the best prospects for me so far. Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Germany, France have been severely disappointing. Chile and Uruguay are the only hotbeds left I haven't scouted. I've even pulled good prospects from US and Mexico.

Forgot another great young player I added--Gonçalo Guedes from Benfica. Great pace, shot power and long shots (I have an affinity for the long shot) he's 84 ovr at 22. Halilovic is 85 ovr but I don't play well with him so he cries on my bench

I was simmed a game earlier this season. I run a 3-5-2. We were up 2-1 in the second half and for some reason, one of my defenders was subbed out for a forward.

This shite happens to me all the time.

I'll play my B squad, and I don't usually sub out my striker, and if I sim a cup match they'll put a CB in for Iheanacho. Grinds my fricking gears.

Here's my Portsmouth squad after the 1st half of our first season in League 1. We run a customized 4-5-1 with 2 CMs and a CAM in the middle above them. The wingers play up in-line with the CAM with a sole striker up top. Odd thing is that one of my CBs doesn't show up when I search for him in Futhead:

Winks is the only starter we have that is on loan. He was a short-term loan for the first half of the season and he was playing so well we got him for another short-term loan. That 58 rating for him isn't accurate though....unless that's his base in the game and he's improved that much. Not really sure. Yurchenko is also a loanee from Leverkusen. I grabbed him for the season as I thought I would get some offers for Roberts....that hasn't happened. My other CAM, Vlap, is 18 and has already progressed to a 62 or 63 in half a season

I did pick up a young keeper (18, 66 OVR) and will probably look to move Murphy in the summer. He's progressed to a 68 and is in his early 30s. I got offers for him this winter window but they low-balled me until deadline day.

We're sitting in the top 2 of the table right now. Automatic promotion is the goal. We were bounced in the semi-finals of the League Cup by Swansea. Their defense just somehow locked down my offense in our 2 matches. I've progressed into the round of 16 in the FA Cup after defeating Chelsea 5-1....I may need to up the difficulty We've also made it out of the group stage of the Europa League after we tallied a draw with Napoli on the final matchday to win the group. I believe we have Celta Vigo up next.

Anyone ever take the India NT job?

Every fricking career I get offered it. One day I'm going to cave and accept just to see how it goes.

I was holding out for the US job, but in 3 years they haven't offered. Took the Belgium fob because I have some really good young players from Belgium.

On a different note, what really grinds my fricking gears is when a player just decides he wants to leave after you've turned down a shite load of money for him. Bayern offered me 130 mill for Lacazette (89 ovr) and I turned it down because he was 26 and a top 3 striker on the game at that point. Next year he decides he wants to move on. The board sells him to Valencia for 56 mill

De Bruyne left me. Got him up to a 92 overall and he was wrecking in the CAM spot. Was tied for second in the league in goals and then during the winter break just out of nowhere says he wants to leave and the board sells him.

So dumb.

His TOTS card last year was tGOAT. 5 star weak foot makes such a difference. That's a big bonus for Tielemans

My 70 rated, 34 yr old goalkeeper from Belarus accepted a 1 year contract extension.

Life doesn't get much better than this.

I hate this game sometimes. I used the sliders y'all suggested and now I suddenly can't score. The pass speed drives me crazy, because it's so, so slow. I looked through that sliders thread a bit and the OP has changed some things around, but hasn't updated the original post. Pass speed was one of the adjustments.

LINK

Also, I've started a career with Union Berlin and in my second year I managed to convince both John Brooks and Rudiger to be my CBs next year, signing on precontracts

Gonna have the best CB pairing in B.2 history
