I think a draft would be great, but it would have to be a league we ran ourselves.

I would much rather a draft.

Use player values from the Premier League site, set up our own scoring system, scheduling...it would take a good bit of work from several people, but it would be a blast.

You get a cap. Say 100M. Players are worth certain amounts and you have 100M to form a team.

well I get that... but 2 teams could technically have identical teams?

That is the problem I had with it. It got to a certain point where everyone basically had the same strikers/defenders.

That's exactly why I would love to have a snake draft.

Could we not just snake draft ourselves through the premier fantasy website?

I say we do it. How many teams could be in the league?

Also how would you go about rotating your team or get rid of an injured player?

We could but we need a way to keep track of points. I say we do a cool prize too. 30 teams at $5 a pop. Top 3 get a prize?

Like I said, we could do 3 separate divisions. 10 teams a division with the top 3 point getters getting a prize.

We would have to come up with statistical categories for each position. What formations that would be allowed. Whether it would be head to head or roto. I dont know of any EPL fantasy sites that would allow us the freedom to do all this.

Seems this forum has beat us to the idea, somebody with more time than me (i.e. not at work..) look through and see how they did it?

LINK

This thread in particular

They seem to use this site to keep track of it all/scoring

this is another site that has done a draft, apparently using the same fantasy website.

Setting up an American style fantasy league for the EPL isn't a unique idea. I know several websites that do it. Hell, on the Chris Creamer Sports Logos forums there are multiple EPL-based fantasy leagues. Those guys go all out by creating logos, uniforms and sometimes even team histories. Been trying to get into one of them this offseason with pretty much no success.

I'd probably be interested in a league here though. I'm still going to sign up through the EPL site also.
