I know we have all thought about this as a what if moment. Discuss

Classy

And lol at the Keeper for being left out of the loop.

I say no. Unlike a handball/etc., that goal was completely legal. Should we have let England score again in the World Cup?

IIRC, wasn't the goal on England an actual shot? This clearly wasn't an intentional shot on goal

Two totally different circumstances, obviously.

My brother's rec plus team let a goal similar to the first one happen, except an opponent treated the ball back like a through ball and scored

A fight broke out, and the game was abandoned. The ball back is a courtesy, and if some stupid shite happens, you let an equalizer in

Nothing like Dempsey's goal

Edit: the guy scoring the equalizer was a douche though

Yeah, I would assume that was just a play back to the keep and it took a shite hop. F that goalie for trying to save it.

Well to be fair the Keeper is stuck in his box so probably wasn't privy to the idea spread about letting them score.

Now say this is in Champions League and giving up a goal to the visiting team counts a great deal, would you let them score that equalizing goal?

I mean, he should have known something was up when his entire team let the dude dribble through without any attempt to stop him whatsoever.

If it's the first leg, you give up an away goal in the 2nd leg.

If it happens in the 2nd leg, then you are SOL and you terminate the contract of the keep for coming up the top of the box to field it.

He knew.. he just didn't agree with it.

And apparently a few defenders had trouble just letting him walk by

dumb.

One was an actual shot on goal, one was supposed to be an easy possession switch.

This does give my "the 45 yard chip shot goal isn't that impressive" argument some weight though.. this guy did it without even trying!
