If you have a 31 year old player = Fabian Johnson. Can he do the job? Yeah probably but the result is nil
But let’s play 20-22 year old guys who have a higher ceiling

1. Because we want to qualify for a World Cup and he gives us a better chance than other left backs in the pool
2. Russia doesn’t win shite either these days so why even bother playing soccer at all, amirite?
