I'm waiting for Luiz to get an OG and red card.

Also, Juan Mata is awesome.

and of course a good cross by Mata

Go figure...strong header by Drogba. It's gonna take more than one though, Newcastle have at least one goal in them today.

Ian just made me laugh...he said "Chelsea" and "clean sheet" in the same sentence. Bwahahahahaha....not with John Terry on the pitch.

Terry's done well so far. Luiz on the other hand...

Give him time...he's good for at least one absolute retard moment each match so far this season.

should not still be on the pitch.

Good point. I'm hoping for a draw so Newcastle needs a goal.

How did Shola's brother end up with Kanu's body type?

Sturridge deserved that goal.

Ramires and Luiz

Only caught the first half, but surely everyone that watched it remembers Mata's poke and reverse spin to shrug off his defeder and deliver a perfect cross?

fricking piece of Renaissance art of a move, and if Sturridge would've finished it, it would have ended up on several end-of-year comps.

Luiz

Will improve, but right now he doesn't seem to be a starter.

Ramires

Only redeeming quality is that he has the engine of a marathon runner.

any gunner-tards watching the Wigan match? Gomez was sure to score against us, I think Arteta(?) got a toe on it to send it wide, or maybe he somehow, incredibly, just missed it.

whew

minutes later, Santos chests the ball down from a cross with the intent of letting Chesney handle it, though he doesn't expect it, and it comes dangerously close to being an own goal. nervy start
