If any team has the depth to deal with this sort of thing, one would think it would be Germany. Their lack of a number nine apart from Gomez really hurts them though.

They tend to like to play Gotze up top and Muller wide (but he kind of floats all around).

As a biased Liverpool fan, I hope Can gets a chance. He was immense for us the last half of the season, and he's probably the closest thing they have to a like for like switch with Khedira.

I'm usually impressed by him, as technically he's very good, but I wonder about his decision making at times.

Can't argue with that. He's still just 22 and was still learning more of a DM position for us last year. But like I said, he came along and was arguably one of our most important players in the last half of the season.
