And I was thinking I'd start following BVB. Unfortunately that's not possible now considering they won't have enough players to field a team next year.

this. I was really starting to follow them closely, and they were going to be my Bundesliga team. Gotze and Lew leaving will suck, but I think they can stay competitive.. they should have plenty to spend after these transfers.

I think maybe the chicken little scenario playing out in this thread is a bit much. They still have good players and make good transfers

Disagree. I think having the names makes it cooler.

Also, all national team players never change, so you definitely should be sporting a Donovan, Dempsey, etc.

Agree, I would never spend money on a jersey of any kind without a name and number. I just think it looks tacky. If I got one as a gift I would take it somewhere to put a name and number on it lol

Agreed, the name is half of what makes it so cool and unique. Plus, I've always thought kits without numbers or a name look kinda cheap

I would've gotten a Lewa kit but I think the transfer talk after this season went back to last summer so I passed. Hopefully Kuba doesn't leave bc I might get his now once their new kits are out.

Yeah, totally agree. I have a blue sash USA kit that I got for $20 without a name. I am holding out for Stu Holden to play for the USMNT again.

Bayern is saying nothing has been signed, and I´m seeing great Real Madrid activity.

Hmmmmh.

It's a strange situation, someone reported that he's already signed two contracts with Bayern, one for if he comes this summer the other if he comes next. then Bayern says that's not true at all, now i'm hearing that ManU may be interested again. who knows. BVB claims he's playing in Dortmund next year no matter what.

I've also heard that Neymar told Santos he'll be leaving for Barca this summer.

The month(s) leading up to the transfer window are the most aggravating ever

Seriously, I think he ends up at Bayern, but the commentary is pretty amazing right now.

I guess all will depend upon what or who, Ancelotti wants, at Real Madrid.

I still think he´s tied up with Bayern.

ETA Neymar´s a lock at BCN, unless some outlandish offer comes up from a Chelsea or similar. Then again, I can´t see him at Chelsea, I really can´t. They´ve got some elegant touch players already, and I think they´ll suffer with Mourinho, and this guy would definitely not be happy there.

well, obviously they are under the table deals, so I can't imagine they would be found binding in a court of law- hence all the speculation. but yeah word is he's signed two of them.

The only thing that doesn't have me sold on him coming to Bayern is the fact that everyone is assuming Gotze was brought in to play the false 9. that would put us with Gomez, Mandzukic, Peterson, Lewandowski and Patty Weihrauch (youth striker who Pep has stated as one of his favorites in the academy, I believe he's 18/19 so he should be getting a senior contract soon) to play striker in a striker-less formation. But no one really has any idea what Pep is trying to do and it's really just pointless to speculate right now.

seems to have been the narrative for the last few seasons, just a waiting game now.

Tweeze please explain that these are deals which correspond to a team´s finish, ranking, and trainer or coach, as otherwise, everyone´s going to think this is Mafia stuff.

Gomez
Spanish press says he´s gone, as is Robben. Gone, he doesn´t want them or need them.

Also, they are saying that Lewandowski is being offered 7M per year by Borussia, instead of the 1.3 he´s making currently. Hence, Klopp thinks he´ll stay.

I saw today where Robben was formally, or informally (who even knows these days) transfer listed. Earliest speculation was either Juve or Inter, Juve has since said they are not interested. The Gomez situation is kind of peculiar too, he said in the press that Pep tried to get him at Barca a couple seasons ago, but I really can't imagine he fits into the current Pep footballing strategy. I don't doubt that he may have inquired about him at one point, because Mario seems like a pretty good guy and has no reason to lie about that. I'm really gonna pretty upset if Mandzo is gone, he's such a great player. Terribly underrated. Terrific team mate and ice cold striker, very complete as well.

eta wow if true on the 7mm and he still wants to leave. that's not much less than he'll get anywhere else imo

not too surprising, as many goals as he's scored for the club over the last 4 or whatever seasons, he sealed his fate last May in that debacle of a match.

both of them for that matter
