Clearly the only right thing to do here is to play the Uruguayan anthem the next time Mexico takes the pitch then play the Mexican anthem the next time Chile takes the pitch.

This fricking sucks for Uruguay.
It was bad enough their fans were subjected to your typical Messican trashiness all match (obscene chants, beer thrown on them, bullshite officiating, etc.)

I'm not sure if this tournament could be more of a shitshow.
Mostly bad soccer. Most of the games have had small crowds. Terrible television production. Wrong national anthem.

Stalin fricked the USSR, Khrushchev was too dumb to fix it, Brezhnev was a corrupt piece of shite, and Gorbachev was super naive.

The Soviet system had major flaws, probably fatal flaws, but to collapse in 74 years was a tribute to constant negligence and deviation from the initial purpose.
