To answer the question about Bunbury, he is still eligible to play for Canada.

Until a player is capped in a competitive match, he is not considered tied down.

That is my understanding of the current FIFA rules, although it probably got changed 20 minutes ago to keep the USA down.

This. The only reason we didn't send them last time is because they had just played in the Confed Cup a few weeks before.

It does. But, Teal will be a US player for sure.
Playing for the US almost guarantees a WC position. Canada... not so much.
