anytime I watch our younger players play (and a lot of time the older ones) I get reminded how lacking we are in terms of on the ball ability.
Dempsey is really kind of a rarity in this regard, and I wonder if it's why he's really become the current standard for US success overseas.

I only follow the USMNT. I don't follow club soccer too many teams too hard to keep up with.
