Chile - Spain Friendly 13.00 CST Portuguese TV

I forgot to ask the times I was there.
Were Chileans ALWAYS this patriotic, or did this start after the Pinochet thang came to an end?
That´s a lot of noise when they sing (they´re in a small stadium in Geneva, which must be one third full, at most).
We do have one or two Chileans who post periodically, do we not?

Spain always wear Chile down near the end of the game. That late goal today to tie it stung a bit. Last year Spain came back to win 3-2 in the final minutes after Chile was up 2-0. Good game though. Eduardo Vargas is becoming a star.

I'm Chilean we've always been super patriotic, why is that an issue?

BTW Great match. Vargas is coming into his own, especially the second goal (first not so much). Very composed, focused.
I´m growing leery of Spain growing weary, of playing friendlies. I´m really worried it´s going to carry over into official matches.

BTW that 3@2 game wasn't all Spain they had some help from the refs. One goal was clearly offsides then the penalty that was a gift from the French ref. Every time Chile plays the Spain the ref help Spain, Fabregas should have been shown a red for the studs on Vidal's ankle. Chile cobtrols the ball against Spain then pressures them therefore taking Spain out of their game plan. I listened to Vincente Bosques presser after the game and its exactly what he said as well.

Vincent of the Forest always tells it like it is. For good or bad. Damned Good Spaniard, Damned Good Madridista.

Vargas has always seemed to play well for Chile, but he floundered at Napoli...I know he's done fairly well at Gremio, but am curious to see if Rafa calls him back in January...
I hope so, he is a pretty exciting player..

Their game at home is typically wide open, it´s too steep of a learning curve.
Do the lesser leagues in Europe not recruit Chile?
BTW Who´s the a-hole that downvoted this? It was an absolutely honest and legitimate question.
¡GILIPOLLAS!

They had Lavezzi, Cavani, Gargano and a few other SAs at the time, so I'm guessing he thought they'd help him settle... And at the time they were playing a 3-4-3, similar to what he was playing at his Chilean club..
I don't see him really fitting Rafas system..
Jorge Sampoli, the new national team coach, was his manager at Universidad de Chile... Seem to work very well together

La U. Doesn´t Colo Colo produce any talent anymore?

Udinese has seemed to have a real god job scouting Chile lately...
I think Suazo and Fernandez are the last "big" names to jump to Europemfrom Colo Colo... I believe Sanchez played there too, but he moved to Europe from River Plate
Edit: I just checked and Arturo Vidal jumped from there to the Bundesliga

Where was the ill fortuned Matigol from? His ´rabona´ was the sensation of internet, when he signed with Villareal.
ETA It WAS Colo Colo. Colleagues bought my boy a Matías Fernández ´camiseta´.

Kid got drilled in La Liga, and he mentally couldn´t capture The Engineer´s game. It was a shame.
These were Altidore times as well, I believe.

Yeah, I remember him going to Portugal (Lisbon) from there... He had a really good game against Man City in UCL a couple of years ago...
