Be a smartass about it then. I'm not sure what I'm saying that is wrong. The result is good, yet playing deep and narrow with all 11 men behind the ball, and you still give up five chances. You call that playing well? Chelsea's performance has as much to do with Barca's lack of finishing ability as anything they did defensively.

All of Barca's losses in La Liga came without that disgraceful play.

Yeah. No one can honestly say that Chelsea was the better team today. It doesn't really matter because they did what they needed to do to win.

What happens when Cech isn't in superstar mode though? Barcelona was really dangerous all game. They'll score at home. Can Chelsea score there? I don't know.

Does anyone have any doubt that Barca is going to win 3-0 at home?

I told Snaggle before the game, the only way we could beat Barca is if we did the ol' Stoke and counter. You can't run at them, they will eat you alive. Other than Puyol, they can't handle Beast Mode Drogba up front. I don't care how we won, we won. Anyone criticizing Chelsea's tactics wouldn't say a word if their team just beat Barca in the 1st leg of UCL Semis.

We did what precious few have done that is bound to sting chelsea haters. Sorry, bro.

Sure, but to say you played well is ridiculous. The result is earned, but Chelsea had hardly any clue what they were doing. They were set up well in midfield, but there were confused when it came to what Barca were actually doing.

Yeah. My friend and I watched the game together and I just kept saying "man Chelsea is just freaking out when they get the ball."

Barcelona's pressure was too much for Chelsea but they got what they needed.

I'll be interested to see what it looks like in the return leg.

You mean their two losses out of 33 matches?

They looked clueless except for the one time they pressed in midfield, which led to the goal. In the return leg, they should play Kalou on the right and Ramires on the left, as they'll do the defensive work while also being offensive threats due to their speed. Mata was anonymous. When they win possession it might be better to kick it up field so as not to concede their defensive shape.

I mean, it doesn't really matter because whomever wins is in for a skullfricking.

Agree most days. Today, it was just not scoring when we had a chance. When Xavi is subed, there is something wrong.

Maybe I've become Spanish, but I'd call for the manager to get fired if one of my teams (:cough: Chelsea :cough:) played like that.

I'd be happy as hell if Pool beat Barca no doubt. That being said, Chelsea took advantage of one chance and made it count. Barca was the better team, nobody can deny that
