Good news from Ivanovic's agent. Says that he not be leaving Chelsea this summer with Real and Napoli interests. He is under contract until 2016.

At age 18 the kid had done enough to earn a place at one of the top clubs in Europe. Because at age 19 he has not been able to get regular first team football with two of the world's top strikers (at one time) in front of him you are ready to call him dog shite based on a handful of substitute appearances? GTFO with that.

Great news, Ivanovic would be a huge loss.

Nah, I'm basing it off of the many games I've seen him play. Also, what strikers are in front of him in Belgium. NONE, in fact they even tried Hazard at CF for the match against England. That's how bad he is right now. Can he be good, yes......and I think he will, but we need to loan him out and get some first team action at a smaller club. He doesn't have a spot on this squad right now.

I love Ivanovic especially since he can play RB and CB. That being said.....if 25 million pound rumors are true, we should take that money. Not many defenders getting that kind of rating.

Not many defenders are getting that because not many are that valuable. He's a solid, versatile defender who has even scored a lot of big goals for Chelsea. We would basically have to buy another RB and CB if we sold him.

That link said Napoli couldn't afford him and I don't think I've see Real offer that much yet. Read Barca offered 23 mill and yea if that much starts gettin offered you have to think about selling. Didnt Luiz start some at RB if we need one in a crunch though he's a much better cb?

He had one short stint in a game at RB and looked lost. There is no way we could go into next season hoping he was going to make the transition to RB.

No you don't. Remember who owns the team. A club like Chelsea does not sell their key players and Branislav is a key player.

We just sold Bosingwa, it would be moronic to sell the first team right back.

We didn't sell Bosingwa.....we let him go for free. I'm just saying with the talk of buying Van der Wiel it wouldn't be a bad move. I don't think we will sell Ivanovic, but if a bidding war starts, you have to think about it.

Yeah, it's hard to tell one way or the other. The one that said we made a bid was premature, but there seems to be some interest.

I'm not saying sell him at all man but if someone comes and throws crazy money you got to consider it. I don't see Bran leaving voluntarily, he seems to love the club. The disappointment when that asshat reporter told him he wouldnt get to play in the CL final showed his heart and genuine grief for letting his team down.

I loved the back line when Ivan was playing RB. Ivan-Cahill/Luiz-Terry-Cole is sick nasty IMO. Always thought Chelsea looked better with Ivan back there

What is the draw for him to leave? He certainly doesn't fit in at Barca. Maybe a little bit more at Real but not much. I guess it's just the opportunity to play CB full time?

That and they are both going to be CL favorites again.

Well he is currently on the actual holders who look to be vastly improving their roster. I'd be disappointed in him if he wanted to go waste away in that soft league.
