I can't figure out why more clubs aren't interested in Victor. Kid's a baller and we're going to steal him for 8mil.
Meh. He has decent skill but he surely isn't top 4 quality. He will never be first team material at Chelsea unless there is a mass exodus of talent.
He really isn't a good chance creator, isn't a good finisher, doesn't have abundant pace and isn't a great passer. He is one of the better dribblers in the league but nothing more.
Where do you expect him to play? Winger? Supporting striker? Attacking mid? He will be 4th on the depth chart no matter where he plays.
He has talent, with a potentially bright future, but going to Chelsea would only stunt his development at this point.
Not to mention he is in the last year of his contract. The move really doesn't make sense.

Not saying the move makes perfect sense, because i don't think it does, but unless you're putting him behind Lukaku as well, he's at the very worst No. 3 as a striker. Not trying to straw man your argument, but being a "No. 3" striker with Torres and Sturridge being the guys ahead of you leaves a lot of room to possibly move up. Plus, 8 mil for a "potential" star isn't too bad. The kid is 21

...except he isn't a striker. Centre forward is not his natural position. And if he is played there, it would be an emergency situation. He's an AM or winger.

Better than Lukaku IMO.

That could be said about many people.

I would take Lukaku over Moses easy. A true centre forward is simply priceless in the English game.

Randy? Lion? Lukaku isn't ready and it's obvious.

Obviously I'm not talking about this season. Lukaku's potential > Moses by a long shot IMO. Moses is a winger/second striker. Lukaku will always be a bigger asset because of where he plays. Finding centre forwards with his physical abilities isn't easy. He needs a few years to read the game and he should be a quality player.

I hear you, but I'm worried about this year. Moses as 3rd CF, allows Lukaku to go on loan.

I dunno. Its hard to say because he looks so raw right now but he is still quite young. Drogba was a late developer and so is Giroud. Maybe it takes bigger strikers a bit longer to develop. He could come good.

And I'm telling you that I would rather Lukaku ahead of Moses at CF. That isn't where Moses plays. He will get eaten alive. He is small and his strengths are getting the ball on the wing, beating defenders to the byline or cutting inside.

Yeah, well Lukaku can't dribble past MLS defenders at this time. He's proved that.

Yes but he is a physical presence in the box and at least gives Chelsea a target man. You know how much I've been talking about Lukaku going on loan. But if Moses is brought in to put Lukaku on loan, I would be worried as a Chelsea fan. Moses is not a good finisher and his best strength is dribbling in space.
He needs first team minutes as bad as Lukaku does.

Agreed. He is a winger. Thats what he played at Wigan.

I'm worried because we have ZERO STRIKERS that I trust right now.

I guess it depends on what Chelsea is running.
If Chelsea go back to the 4-3-3 (not saying they will, but it's what they ran a lot of last year) Moses could easily fit in as one of the outside wingers where we saw Sturridge and Mata play.
If they're in a 4-2-3-1 like RDM did at the end of last season, I think you're right that Lukaku would be better up top.
