An away goal would have been ideal. Real set up pretty defensively to avoid that though. Götze really needed to bury that opportunity.

I don't mind him so much anymore. I can kind of tune him out if he starts rambling to prove that he actually did research for the game. However, I would like to know how he could get in the ballpark pronunciation-wise for Illarra but can't for easier names.

Bayern will need to attack the center of the field more next week. Start Götze, let Ribery sit and collect his thoughts. They bailed out Real by sending so many crosses in. Pepe and Ramos are more vulnerable if you're running at them, not just whipping balls in.

Thing about us longtime soccer fans is we are used to hearing British commentators call games and for most of them soccer is probably the only sport they work with their entire career. Maybe a few do rugby. With Gus you get a guy that's only done college football and basketball and has only done soccer for only about a year now.

They don't even really need to get that attacking, just cut the crosses in half and run at Real's unstable center backs.
