After Terry got sent off I thik his performance was one of his best in a Chelsea shirt.

Definetely dont need him ever playing there again though.

I was shocked by his performance too, but having him as a center back still scares the shite out of me. I expect that it was a one time performance and I hope that it never happens again.

Any guesses for the starting XI?

Cech
Bosingwa-Luiz-Cahill-Cole
Mikel-Lampard-Essien(??)
Mata-Drogba-Kalou(??)

RDM has favored Kalou since he took over. I don't see Torres starting, but he'll come on at some point

4-4-3
Cech
Bos, luiz, Cahill, cole
Lamps, mikel, mata
Sturridge, Drogs, Torres
Kalou replacing sturridge at some point

Hell, you could play a 4-2-3-1 like
Cech
Bos, luiz, Cahill, cole
Mikel, lamps
Kalou, mata, Torres
Drogs

Torres is good to track back but kalou would have to play in this formation because you can't trust sturridge to track back

You do realize that neither Drogba nor Torres have ever scored while the other is on the pitch? Furthermore, RDM has never started both of them together. I would be shocked if he chose the biggest stage in the world to experiment.

He experimented this against Blackburn for about 13 minutes I thought. Sometimes you have to play the worlds biggest players on the worlds biggest stage and I think this is a no brainer. Torres is our best option with the ball at his feet in the box and has proven to be a better option assisting. He has to play Saturday and play a big role for chelsea to win IMO. Torres feeding Drogba the ball without any selfishness is fuel to fire my friend. Also, I would not bring essien near the pitch Saturday. Just not the same player

I'd be surprised if both Drogba and Torres started If he were planning to do that you would have seen him playing them is these last two meaningless EPL games. Although I guess that would have also made it pretty obvious to the Bayern coaches. Don't think it's worth the gamble at this point.

This is the answer. They don't play well together. I don't have a reason why, but they dont. Torres will sub on because you can't not start Drogba right now.

And I'll be very surprised if Sturridge starts. He has taken a back seat since RDM took over
