Real up and commer with the New England Revolution. He appears to have very high quality Euro-League potential. He's also Uruguayan-American, moved to the US at 5, has spent, essentially, his entire life in the Boston-Metro area. He's currently eligble for both nations, and has only appeared twice for Uruguay's U20 team.

This is the type of player Jurgen needs to be recruiting for the Gold Cup. I can't say if he'll ever be full MNT quality, but I do think he's the most sure fire u20 player in the MLS right now.

Edit: additional research per the fine posters of the SB, have found that he's currently not eligble for the US.

He looked pretty awesome last night, that was the first time I've ever seen him. Revs were pretty fun, might have to make an effort to watch more of their matches.

agreed. he's the type of CAM playmaker we've been clamoring for. just reading his Revs bio. He did play for the US u14 and u15 teams.

I assume he's being left out of all u20 activities this summer to stay with the Revs.

He's small, but he's lightning quick and has great ball skills. I'd have called him up for the Gold Cup, but I'm not Jurgy.

He's 18 and has scored in five straight games for New England as a winger. If you hadn't started this thread, I would have.

What a great soccer last name . I'll have to look up his recent highlights later.

Found a BigSoccer thread on him. Apparently, he occupies an international spot on the Revolution's roster and isn't a citizen (nor does he have a green card).

Information from 2013 starts at the bottom of page nine.

Read somewhere that he wouldn't be a U.S. citizen until he was 23 or something like that.

We've briefly talked about him 2 years ago

I've been watching. I think it's way to early for a call up right now, but maybe in a few years he will be with the USMNT.
