it's fun if you have friends who play it as well. I never play alone and never would because communication is very important.
Part of the draw, is that it's been labeled as a game that everyone can play. However, that doesn't mean it's easy. My friends and I will steam roll some teams, but every once in awhile we'll get absolutely dominated.
It's got simple controls. There's a ton (like more than 20) of characters or 'heroes' that counter other characters and you learn as you go who to play as depending on what the other team is doing.
I enjoy it, it's definitely a fun game.

Pretty similar in genre, team based shooter with different classes. Overwatch has 21 playable characters at the moment with more to follow. All characters fall under 3 broad categories, offensive, defensive/tank, and support. Team balance and coordination is key. Much more fun to play with friends that work together. Unless of course you play widowmaker(sniper).
