Arteta has looked solid. We really needed a DLP like him. Mertesacker is alright. Benayoun had a lovely ball to VP that he pushed wide/keeper barely touched it wide. Gervinho is getting on the ball but has no end product. No sign of Santos and Park yet.

You're watching an American broadcast.

The commentators are british because they speak our language.

You're making my point for me. I'm not watching an Arsenal broadcast so I expect unbiased commentating.

Have you ever watched a non-conference game on the SEC network?

That's basically what this is.

The broadcast is for British people, so it has a English bias. Deal with it, or go watch it in German.

When I want an opinion on FC Dallas' back up keeper, I'll ask you. Until then, don't try telling me what to do.

Dortmund is really taking advantage of Arsenal's narrow formation. A second DM can help stop the flow. They are combining at the edge of the 18 really well, but some balls have been too hard. Grosskeutz has been shite. Kehl is too relaxed. Hummels has been excellent this half in his distribution.

Haha. Your other options are to stop watching the game and to continue bitching about it.

There, I just gave you all your possible options. I didn't tell you what to do. I told you what you will do.

Arsenal's narrow formation.

They seem intent on boxing themselves in to a tight space in the center of the pitch

If Arsenal was doing a good job as a club, they'd have more Englishmen. What's going on with their academy?

ETA: Gibbs and Walcott are shite.

Very long story. Academy was reorganized in 1996. Only produced few PL quality players. The classes born after 1990 are full of British players. Wilshere and Frimpong are a part of that class. We also buy 16 year olds and turn them into players. We've been fairly successful taking young players from other countries and making them good players. You'll see more players from the Academy in the coming years.

I'm aware of this. Arsenal has been relying on Foreign players for years to play beautiful, possessive, continental soccer. It seems like there should be more of a commitment to create an English Fabregas, an English Nasri, An English Henry, ect.

From English youth squads:
Jack Wilshere
Benik Afobe
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Henri Lansbury
Emmanuel Frimpong (declared for Ghana)
Gavin Hoyte
Luke Freeman
Nicholas Yennaris
Chuks Aneke
Jack Jebb
Chuba Akpom
Austin Lipman
Isaac Hayden

Edit: Also Gibbs and Walcott were on those squads up until a couple of years ago.
