Like I said, now everyone wants to be the creator. Off the ball movement was pretty poor. Even Theo, who loves making runs behind, was holding his run waiting for the ball to be played to his feet. When Van Persie continually drops back into a withdrawn forward role, and doesn't make any attempt to play as a number 9, you're going to be toothless.

It was mostly toothless possession. Even with a young team, I expect us to dominate possession this year, but just look more toothless than usual.

It was a real shite match from both sides until Pool made the substitutes after Arsenal were down a man.
In hindsight I don't know if Arsenal were capable of pulling a Mancini and sitting back on defense all match, and I don't know if it would have even prevented goals.

I agreed with you until this. Obviously, obviously the run of play was in pools favor. It was a waiting game for all of us until Mierles and Suarez came in.

because we have a big dummy leading the line who isn't 100% certain of the offsides rule and a standing order that we can't have more than 3 consecutive passes without one heading his direction in the air.

This always happened when Fabregas wasn't playing. Maybe with Wilshere back we'll have some semblance of movement.
VP and Arshavin both have excellent final balls, but they need movement in front of them. I really really really really hope Nasri goes so we don't have to play him centrally, because he has no clue when it comes to moving the ball.
