I was considering Nikodemus; but the way he so unceremoniously requested leave, going as far as to blunt his wish with the certainty that he'd never play for Arsenal again... I felt like his unconditionally loving dog that was just violently rapped on the nose with a rolled-up Prison Break fanzine, and now I'm in retreat to the dark, dusty corner of my fragile soul.

It's going to take a lot of ruminating, emotive LiveJournal posts and several melancholy mixtapes till I can distill the poison from my heart, till I can.. learn to love again.

something about them dutch players.

Marc overmars is up there for me too. I just used to like dutch players, watching Ajax, Arsenal and Barcelona when i was younger.

Don't hold it for too long. Soccernet reporting Real Madrid has Jackie as one of five targets for something called Project 2014. LEAVE OUR PLAYERS ALONE!!!

I like how Real thinks that we will sell him for less than 30 million. If we do sell him, the bidding war might make him the most expensive English player ever.

Edit: that's our chief scout in France for any 'pool fans lurking...

Maybe some bad blood between he and Comolli?

I do think they overpaid for Henderson and Downing, but I wouldn't say either lacked talent.

Could be. I doubt Comolli's statements since he left Arsenal have sat well with the scouting establishment at the club.

What did he say exactly?

I think he was just tooting his horn talking about players he had found. It was a few years back when he was at Spurs. He said he was responsible for Toure, Clichy, and Eboue I believe. Wenger responded to his claims and pretty much said he was way down the food chain and only Wenger makes player decisions.

Also, this is a sick goal from Joel Campbell against Spain today. LINK Hope this kid finds some consistency because he's got a lot of talent.

He really does. And that was fricking Casillas he beat. Ten pounds added to his frame and a couple of years and he could be special.

Yeah for sure. Speaking of Toure, Eboue, and Clichy, he could be another big player for us who cost less than a mil.

Gibbs had a set back in his recovery and is having hernia surgery today. SHOCKER!

edit: I'll throw in something positive too. Joel Campbell article.
