Really fricking excited about Emile Smith Rowe coming back and joining the 1st team

I'm getting a very 88-89 vibe from the youngsters.

ESR
Saka
Reiss
Willock
Nketiah
Matt Smith ( )

Did someone say Rocastle, Adams, Michael Thomas, Merson

I hope we don't sell any of them (maybe Willock being the exception) and get to see them lifting the title one day.

We lucked the frick out going through our worst period in generations and simultaneously having the best group of youngsters in a generation.

Saw Blaise Matuidi going to Miami. I just have to laugh. This was another player Wenger could have easily had from St. Entienne. Instead he goes on to win like 20 trophies with PSG and Juventus.

I don’t really get the signing, tbh.

3 years seems a bit long for an aging winger, and I am not sure on the veracity, but I read reports of up to 220K weekly wages with incentives which is more than the current Auba deal.

That was incredibly dishonest clickbait reporting by the Daily Mail. They added agent costs, signing bonus and all possible incentives. The base is closer to 100k, which is reasonable.

I like Willian but not for 220k a week

Much more reasonable

Yeah, the issue wasn't really the wages. He stays at Chelsea if we offer him 3 years. But he'll be pretty dang old at the end of the deal. He doesn't really move the needle much as a weekly starter at this point in his career IMO, but he's an awesome player to have the squad.

Hes created more chances than anyone on our team. So im not too concerned about this deal for this season. id assume the plan is to put him on the left and play Auba through the middle.

Im just worried about our central midfield. Not sure we will be able to get ceballos. So i dont like this move for the short term because we need a completely new midfield to really move forward. and by the time we get their Willian will be 35.

I'm just concerned since Arsenal has been burned time and time again from the Chelsea cast off's/retreads, that and winger isn't a pressing concern.

If Willian can mentor Reiss Nelson and Saka and ESR I will he happy. Especially Nelson though. I think they play very similar

This is off topic but related to another article you wrote. Do you have a copy of the article you wrote about LSU boxing champion Crow Peale? I saw it in a search but the link doesn't work anymore. Thanks on advance!
