We could blame Ozil but it's bigger than him. It's a symptom of our malaise as a club. No one is held accountable for their actions/performances. I'm ready to burn it down and restart from scratch if that's what it takes to push us forward.

I'd rather have a bunch of passionate, scrappy players like Elneny, Gabs, Alexis (in terms of passion) than these "world class" players that'll show up a game or two then disappear for 3 months

Yep. Starts at the top with ownership. Kroenke doesn't give a shite. Wenger is comfortable and stubborn. That stuff trickles down. We are a club happy to make money without winning anything of substance.

Arsenal fans deserve massive applause for sitting through shite shows like this several times a year
Posted on 2/15/17 at 3:38 pm to RebelVol
Honestly I'm done for the year. I'll watch if I'm not busy and I'll listen to Arsecast and read Arseblog but I'm not carving out time to watch this team any more and I'm sure as shite not spending a dime on the club.
As long as Kroenke owns this club this will be the status quo because there is no accountability.

Yeah. When we came out in the 4-4-2 I knew we were done. This team would be good if someone actually taught positioning. Which has been the case for several years actually.

I don't think you could have a more uninterested owner of any team. Guy literally doesn't give a shite about the team, fans, players. He just wants to make money. Really wish he'd sell

What in the literal frick was Mustafi doing on goals 2-4? He was completely shite today.

I really wish he would get hit by a bus. :banged:
SK should be banned from owning sports clubs in the name of maintaining competitive balance. Every thing he touches to goo.

knew they'd get their shite pushed in...not only is there a huge talent gap, but Bayern is tactically and intelligently superior to us...i'v'e only followed the club the last 3 years, but the results are the same every year....it's fricking depressing.

Francis Coquelin failed to win a single tackle while he was on the pitch against Bayern Munich this evening.

In 70 minutes Coquelin has completed 5 passes. You are reading that right, 5 passes. That's less than everyone else including Ospina

How can that be? Y'all vastly outspend Bayern on wages and transfers.

No matter what happens I won't criticize him. Wenger deserves massive respect, and I'm still not on the out wagon.
You sound like a battered wife explaining that the black eye is from running into the door.

I mean... Wenger is all I've ever known. I'm probably not as old as the rest of you, so I don't know what life was like before him, but I surely can't be the only one that feels for the guy. He's given his whole life to Arsenal Football Club and the players let him down every time.
He could do some things differently.. but when the players just don't care and play like they want you to get fired it has to be heartbreaking for him.
It'll be a sad day when he leaves. And like I've said many times, I hope we find someone to replace him that loves AFC and will be here for the long haul.

I'm in the same boat as you man... He's all I've ever known and I love the guy. I'm so torn.

Still lost for words at how shite we played today
Posted on 2/15/17 at 6:07 pm to RebelVol
I mean, I can both like Wenger and respect and revere his accomplishments while simultaneously realizing those days are gone and it's time to move on.
I became an Arsenal fan because of the qualities he instilled in the club: responsibility, appreciation of beautiful football, minimal cuntery. But it is past time to be pragmatic. We are very much a stagnant club and we desperately need change. Even if there's risk involved and we finish 12th one year, it's worth the risk of pushing forward and actually winning something memorable.
