I hate the offseason. and transfer rumors. I hate transfer rumors in this sport. It's one thing here with sports like American football or baseball to have transfer rumors from one country's media... but every summer and January, trying to NOT pay attention to transfer rumors from the media in every country in Europe and South America, it just sucks.

i know that nothing i stated above is ground breaking. but i just wanted to rant for a second. Thank you, Gunners.

Frimpong was ok-ish for Fulham on loan. For some reason I was constantly on edge thinking he was about to get a red card for something crazy, but (unless I'm mistaken) it never happened.

yeah he was always raw and volatile, which makes sense for a young, physically gifted DM. I thought, in the classic Arsenal mindset, that he was just about ready to turn the corner until that knee injury.

Just double checked my calendar. I'll be in Charleston that weekend supporting the USA Eagles against Canada in International Rugby.

I know a couple pubs in Charleston where I'll be able to catch the game, though...

Sad thing is, I wasn't really joking. I don't really know Rihanna outside of the whole boyfriend abusing her thing. Sorry to offend anyone. (Not really)

Domestic abuse is never funny.

I would like to know what the general feeling of the Arsenal fans on the board is about Ox. I think he is supremely talented and deserves a shot at more playing time. He is already a England regular and performs well for them. I realize he sophomore season was a bit hit and miss but he is always a danger to create something when he is on the field. He can play in the middle or out wide. Both effectively. I would have him starting out left over Podolski(or at least rotate with Poldi) with Santi moved back into the 10 role. Ox would provide pace out wide with some creativity. And he always puts in a shift defensively. Well that is my 2 cents. Feel free to disagree.

I agree 100% about ox

think he needs to be on field more, will help with his inconsistency.

I thought he was legitimately terrible last year until his last few appearances. I was concerned because it really looked like he had taken a step back (and the fact he wasn't criticized more smacks of bias against foreign players, but that's another matter). however, I will say that he looked very bright the last couple of months of the season in his substitute appearances. I thought he earned a start or two, especially when OG got suspended.

I definitely don't think Ox should start over Podolski. The only reason Ox is an England regular is because England is terrible. Ox is still a prospect, who has a lot of raw potential but little end product. He should get games that Gervinho gets, but he shouldn't start over any of our wide players, Podolski, Walcott, or Cazorla, nor should he displace anyone in midfield. He's still 19. He'll be ready by 22. He'll be a star by 25. But there isn't a reason to rush him, unless it is to keep Gervinho on the bench.
